Who are IM2C Buddy's?
An IM2C Buddy is:
> A volunteer or Sessional Member of Staff
> Interviewed, checked and trained before they are approved
> Matched to the person best suited to them
What do IM2C Buddy's do?
> Accompany a young person or adult to their chosen activity, giving them time away from home with someone with a similar interest
> Help our member to do things they want to do – it is up to the young person and their parents or adult to decide how to use their community buddy time
> Are available to provide support in all areas of the community, such as going shopping, bowling. gym, concert or day trip
Who can use a IM2C Buddy?
The IM2C Buddy's scheme is open to our membership of young people from 12-18 years old or Adult Members who:
> Have a disability and/or additional needs and may require support to participate fully in leisure and recreation activities
> Live in East Renfrewshire, Glasgow or surrounding area
> Buddying can support a regular activity or be used occasionally e.g. just in school holidays, weekly events, or one off activities.
How much does the service cost?
There is a standard charge of £12.00 per hour that covers the costs of training, supporting and managing the IM2C Buddy Programme, plus the cost of the activity and travel for example (See Colour Bubbles to the Right)
Please note that IM2C Buddy's is not a care provider, nor do we provide any form of personal care, this isnt a replacement service for paid professional carers.
How do you access the IM2C Buddy's Service?
Members can self-refer by completing the attached from or call 07525 208 738 to discuss your needs. For One-Off, Special Events please ensure you give us as much notice as possible to ensure your are not left disappointed.

Johns is away for 4hrs, so his Buddy Pack would be £48, plus the £10 Ticket for Alan and £7.00 Mileage for Alans Car Use.
Natalie is 26yrs old, she enjoys going to the Late Night Gig Nights at King Tuts, she is matched with Gemma who loves going to live gigs.
Natalie is away for 6hrs so her Buddy Packs would be £72, plus the £5.00 Gig Ticket and £4.50 Train Fare
